Location. The Art Nouveau inspired Grand Hotel Olympic Aurum Hotel is located in Rome, Italy, one block from the Vatican City museums. St Peter's Cathedral is two blocks away. The Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and Via Condotti are within two and a half kilometres. The Roman Forum and the Colosseum are four kilometres from the hotel. The closest metro stop is Ottaviano.
Hotel Features. Guests enter this former papal palace via a granite stairway leading to the Grand Hotel Olympic Aurum Hotel's deep green carpeted lobby, decorated with antiques, fine art, mirrors and African statues. Regency sofas and walnut toned furniture furnish the lobby. The 24 hour front desk and multilingual concierge staff can answer queries and provide tour assistance.
Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant, the bar and lounge serves drinks, and 24 hour room service is available. Complimentary buffet breakfasts are offered in the breakfast room.

From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO):
Distance to Grand Hotel Olympic Aurum Hotel is 30 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and the Termini train station in the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus runs between the airport and Termini station. From Termini, guests can take the metro for five stops to Ottaviano station, the closest stop to the hotel. Taxis to the city centre cost about 60 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Via Properzio. Rome's historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors. Parking is available nearby for guests with cars.
